Hi5 Toronto Concert June 23rd

Well, Hi5 came back to Toronto, and Isaac just had to go. We didn't get front row seats this time, but instead sat about 6 rows back. This was Isaac's second concert, and Nathaniel's first. Nathaniel didn't seem to mind it at all and there were a lot of other little brothers and sisters in attendance also.

Here are the pics we took. We weren't allowed to use a flash, so this is the best we could do... The pics are in the gallery.

New TV Series "Driving Force"

So, one of Nitro Funny Car's living legends, John Force, has a new reality show about him and his family. The show premiered last night and shows John trying to contend not just with racing, but also with his 3 daughters and his wife.

The show covers everything from actual racing, the fear of crashing, the business of racing, and the art of raising 3 daughters. Luckily, all three look like their mom and not their dad.

Speaking of Nitro Funny Cars, we've been chatting with Spiro Kontos who owns the Canadian Nitro Funny Car Team KonRodz Racing and have been offering up some help. We stopped by Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee Barry Paton's shop on the weekend to drop off a clutch grinding tool so that they can finish off the clutch work. Barry's working as Crew Chief for KonRodz as they are a brand new team, and there's no better way to learn than by working with a legend.

While we were there, we got to see Barry's primary team car, the Tim Horton's sponsored Top Fuel Dragster. He was working on the engine and we learned a few new tricks in the process.

We'll be visiting both teams during the IHRA race this weekend at Toronto Motorsports Park. For the most part, we'll be there as spectators, but will help Spiro if he needs an extra hand or two. Both cars put out between 7,000 and 9,000 HP so it would be a site to see if you want to come to the track.
